Meet Megan.

She’s known for her leg burning Pilates classes and ability to tell a long (make that a very long and very hilarious) story!

What drew you to fitness coaching?
My body has been through a huge transformation process from the time I was about 23. I lost a massive amount of weight, and initially, I thought it was my ticket to happiness. Instead, what started next was 5 years of punishing myself with exercise, obsessing over food and fitness and chasing “perfection.”

My call to the fitness industry came when I realised, after a long and rewarding healing process, that I could be a voice for everyBODY. That I could help people move for things like joy and a sense of freedom.

I believe really passionately that fitness does not have a look attached to it and that health can be possible at every size. For me, being a coach is a beautiful way to guide clients toward understanding and loving themselves and their bodies in a way that lasts a lifetime.

What styles of training do you love to coach the most and why?
I really love coaching it all! At heart, I’m a recreational runner myself and I really do find something magical in helping people who swear they can’t run get to a running milestone they didn’t think was possible!
Pilates and breathwork is also a huge passion!

What’s your vision for the coMMune?
We created the coMMune in such a short and strange time, but at its heart is the philosophy of getting together with your people, for some movement that feels good. It’s about finding somewhere that feels like home.

My vision for this space really just revolves around it being a place that everyone feels safe, strong and empowered at and where people get loved for who they truly are.

What song always makes your workout playlist?
My Girl by The Temptations. If you know, you know! 😉

Most used emoji?
That’s easy - 🤦🏼‍♀️

I’m forever making funny mistakes and then laughing at myself about it!

Meet Mel.

Famous for her boxing and body rolls, she believes every session should end with a bang! (musical finisher, anyone?)

What drew you to fitness coaching?
I was drawn to fitness coaching through a love of training and the value it adds to my life, as well as it meeting my need to help others. I love the social side of training as well as the obvious health benefits especially mental health.

What styles of training do you love to coach the most and why?
I love to coach all styles of training, but my favourite is weight training and boxing. I love how empowering it is to set and smash goals and help others achieve a pride and appreciation for their bodies and the incredible things they can do.

Boxing being so rhythmic and satisfying really sings to my passion for joy in movement.

I love to coach you from exactly where you are at and I want it to feel good from day 1 to 1001!

What’s your vision for the coMMune?
My ultimate vision for the coMMune is a space for families to come together to enjoy their health and wellness.

From the babies in the creche to the adults on the gym floor, I want it to feel like a place where individuals might walk in the door but a coMMunity exists on the other side of it.

Where we come to workout, socialise and make a difference.

What song always makes your workout playlist?
My ultimate pump-up song is a big old 80’s ballad, like Bonnie Tyler’s “Holding Out for A Hero”, but I’m a massive music fan and you’ll find me dancing to all of it when I’m lifting weights or between burpees.

What is your favourite meal?
I would probably say a homemade burrito bowl. I would choose that as my one meal to eat for the rest of my life 🤤
